Impression: Wim Crouwel

For today session, the studio got a chance to watch a video on the designer, Wim Crouwel. Wim Crouwel is a Dutch designer that has six decades of experiences in the industry. We watched a video about him that explores his work and the way he works. I didn’t know much about apart from knowing that Finn had to create a monograph about him during the Christmas break. He has created typefaces that he made using grids. I found that these typefaces are ground breaking because these typefaces were used on computer and could be seen as bitmap for it’s square like appearance. When I saw his typeface, it reminded me of the typeface I’m using. The typeface I was using wasn’t made by him however it could be because how similar it looked.
