Impression: Visual Editing

For today task at the impression studio, we were set a task to produce a concertina book based on what we learnt on publishing. Before we began the task, the studio were told to watch the first episode of the 1972 BBC show called Ways Of Seeing. As a studio we discussed about content. As a group we watched the fourth episode of the show. This episode was based on adverts and the use of glamour within the ads.

The later part of the day, the group began creating concertina book. We had to print out images and we had to critically think about how the images linked together. Here are images of the processes and the final result of creating the book.

This lesson got me think on about how to present the posterzines. Although I wouldn’t use this method to actually show the zines itself but I thought that having a bag is a something I should use.
