Hothouse Talks: Craig Oldman

In another Hothouse Talk, I’ll be talking about Craig Oldham. Craig Oldman designer and creative consultant who has worked cross many discipline and has a studio that creates brands, books, website, films, exhibitions and objects. His studio not only creates but they also teach, write and consult. They make for their clients audiences and just of their joy of it. Many design awards like Art Directors Club, A&AD, Design Week Awards and Type Directors Clue have recognized Craig Oldman’s studio.

He has created a book called “In Loving Memory Of Work” which presents a visual record of Britain’s longest ever industrial dispute, UK miners’ strike that run through the years 1984-1985. This project could be personal for the designer because he was born straight after this event has happen.

This book is homage to the event and it’s a very interesting look. What I liked from this work is that it’ seems very education I was many years after this event happen and I don’t know what happen, so reading this book will educate me about what happen and how people lives were changed.
